Suspension Chicken Cells (Serum-free)

The NFC.GG2 cell line is a suspension chicken cell line adapted to serum-free medium. A rare combination of spontaneous immortalization, non-tumorigenicity, non-GMO origin in defined, serum-free media—enabling scalable cell culture without genetic modification or the use of FBS. Fully suspension-adapted chicken cells optimized for serum-free growth, developed without genetic engineering. These cells are spontaneously immortalized, non-GMO, and non-tumorigenic, providing a scalable and regulatory-aligned platform for food and biopharmaceutical applications.

Cells grow as a stable single-cell suspension with minimal clumping, supporting consistent performance in controlled bioreactor environments. Cultures demonstrate rapid proliferation with doubling times approaching ~24 hours, along with strong viability and culture stability over extended passaging. The serum-free system eliminates variability associated with serum, improving reproducibility, downstream processing, and regulatory positioning.

Cells are adapted for use in complete serum-free medium made with NFMGG2 supplement. These cells are well-suited for applications including cultivated meat production, recombinant protein expression, and advanced bioprocess development.

Each cryopreserved vial contains approximately 1 × 10⁶ cells with high post-thaw recovery. Each purchase includes a full documentation package (certificate of analysis, tech transfer protocol), as well as access to technical support for process optimization and scale-up.
